Earlier this week, it was announced that Tim Hortons and Shawn Mendes would be coming to together to create one of the most Canadian cups ever. For a limited time only, Canadian fans are able to pick up a Shawn Mendes coffee cup at Tim Hortons locations across Canada. However, it seems that some Canadians are struggling so much to find them that they are actually making their own.
Narcity Canada was the first to announce that Shawn Mendes cups would be available at select Tim Hortons locations across Canada starting this Friday. Since then, Canadian fans have been flocking to their local coffee chain to grab one.
In Tim Hortons newest campaign, "Home Is Where The Heart Is", the chain and the rest of Canada are helping Shawn celebrate his Canadian background.
The iconic cups feature a photo of Shawn Mendes with the roses from his current album and a maple leaf. While they are available in small, medium and large across Canada and offer reusable ceramic mugs across the GTA, some Canadians seem to be struggling to find them.
Many Twitter users have taken to the social media platform the past two days to complain about the lack of cups in their Tim Hortons, some even saying that they can't seem to find the cups anywhere.
While some are just taking the loss, other Canadians aren't being defeated that easily. In fact, multiple Canadians have been creating their own Shawn Mendes cups nationwide, to still show their support for the Canadian superstar.
One Twitter user even stating, "When your local Tim Hortons doesn't sell @ShawnMendes cups, you make your own!" Since then, it seems that many other Canadians have been following suit.
Of course, other Canadians have been celebrating their love and excitement for the Canadian sensations by posting photos of the iconic cups that they have managed to find.
One Twitter user even stated, "Drove there just to see your face @ShawnMendes and it was worth it."
While the paper cups are expected to be available across the nation, reusable tumblers are only available in select GTA locations. To see all of the participating restaurants, you can view Tim Hortons' list here.
