Bill Cosby's Wife Says He Is Innocent And A Victim After Sexual Assault Conviction

It was less than a week ago when comedian, . This assault dates back to 2004, when Cosby was accused of drugging and violating a woman at his Philadelphia home. A jury found him guilty of sexual assault and he is facing up to 30 years in prison as a result.
The 80-year-old comedian has faced intense scrutiny since allegations surfaced online. Dozens of celebrities, models and aspiring actresses have come forward with their stories, claiming that Cosby drugged, raped or assaulted them. Most of the stories date back 30-40 years when Cosby was at the height of his fame.
During the public scrutiny, Bill's wife, Camille Cosby stood by his side. Now, Camille has released a lengthy statement. In the statement, Camille uses previous cases to demonstrate that women have given false statements regarding sexual assault, only to admit later that their claims were false.
Camille goes on to say that she is asking for a criminal investigation of the district attorney and their team. She believes that they are "exploitive and corrupt people, whose primary purpose is to advance themselves professionally and economically at the expense of Mr. Cosby's life".
Finally, Camille goes on to say that Bill, "an innocent person has been found guilty based on unthinking, unquestioning, unconstitutional frenzy propagated by the media and allowed to play out in a supposed court of law."
