It's officially been seven whole days since marijuana legalization. Provincially-regulated cannabis stores have been in operation for one week and for Ontario, the week has brought nothing but problems and delays.
If you're someone who's been dealing with the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS), I'm going to assume your experience hasn't been great. Twitter and Reddit have been absolutely flooded with complaints about the OCS's rocky start to cannabis sales.

In all fairness, a lot of the issues customers have been complaining about stem from the Canada Post strike. Tens of thousands of letters and parcels have been delayed across the country following walkouts in Toronto, a key processing hub.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the OSC says they have staff working around the clock to fulfill orders. However, they admit that many customers who ordered on the very first day of legalization one week ago still haven't seen their packages.

While the strike is totally out of their hands, their customer service efforts aren't. According to social media, it seems to be the OCS's customer service in particular that really has Ontarians fuming.
One Reddit poster claims they haven't seen their package seven days after ordering it. When they called the OCS to see what was up, customer service reps simply stated they couldn't help and hung up the phone.
Twitter users are calling their customer service "terrible" and the worst they've ever experienced. Some are even claiming their orders were outright cancelled without them being notified.

Frustrated individuals have emails that haven't been replied to and calls that haven't been returned. One tweet says some callers haven't even been able to get through to customer service at all.
Can someone please explain why every time I call ocs I get some message saying “due to uncontrollable circumstances we are unable to take your call” wtf is this? . Those who have consciously opted to buy legal marijuana rather than from the black market say this issue with the OCS is enough to have them running back to their dealer. Some vow this is the first and last time they'll ever buy from the government-run website again.
While the OCS announced they had a backup plan even before the Canada Post strikes hit, they have yet to implement it. So until then, everyone's just got to cross their fingers that the strike will be over soon.
