Dollarama Officially Launches Their Online Store In Canada

Dollarama officially launches their online store in Canada and it has 1000 different products.

After a successful five-week pilot project, Dollarama has officially launched their online store in Canada today. The online store allows customers across the country to buy a number of Dollarama's classic products in massive bulk varieties, but at Dollarama prices. The online store also includes some products that aren't available in regular stores.

The launch comes after a pilot project that launched in Quebec only. The project launched in mid-December and has since been declared a success. Now the website is ready for orders across Canada and they have a pretty impressive selection of products.

The store features approximately 1000 different products. These include clothing, foods, health and beauty products, electronics, hardware, kitchen, party decorations and even toys. The only catch is that everything is sold by the case.

For example, if you wanted some Excel gum, which Dollarama normally sells in store for $0.75/pack, online you would have to buy a case of $216, which would cost $162. This is a huge quantity of gum, but if you are a big gum chewer, that is a really good deal.

Not all the cases are that large, though - some products are also available in cases of 24, 48, or even 16 or 18. The good news is that all of the prices online are also the same as their low in-store prices.

The bulk buying, which can be compared to shopping at Costco, is ideal for any businesses or individuals that need to buy a large quantity of anything.

For example, if you were planning a huge party, you'd be able to buy decorations, food, and even party favours in bulk, and all from the comfort of your own home.

As with most online shopping, there is a shipping fee associated. With Dollarama, they have a flat-rate shipping rate which is $18. This applies in all urban areas, but it could be more depending on where you live, but Dollarama's website lets you determine the shipping fees before you shop by putting in your postal code.

If that price seems a little steep to you, they also have a pick-up option available at select locations. So instead of paying $18 for shipping, you can go pick up your Dollarama order at certain Penguin Pickup or UPS locations.
