Ex-USA Gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar has been called a lot of things, most recently from one father of 3 - a demon. Today in a Charlotte, Michigan courtroom the father of 3 of Nassar's victims reacted after hearing the emotional impact statements two of his children gave on the sexual abuse they suffered at the doctors hands in court.
The man, Randall Margraves, stood up before the judge stone-faced asking for 5 minutes alone in a locked room with Larry Nassar - calling him a demon. The judge decline the request but Margraves was not done. He then asked the judge for 1 minute alone with Nassar - again he was denied the request.
It was then that the emotionally distraught parent lunged toward Nassar in an attempt to attack him yelling "I want that son of a b*%&h" and adding "give me one minute with that bastard." The police in the courtroom quickly detained and handcuffed him, leading him out of the courtroom through the side door.
His heartbreaking final remarks being "what if this happened to you guys."
Nassar has been convicted of seven counts of criminal sexual conduct and sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison for the abuse he inflicted on 150 women and girls in his over 20 year career. He admitted to using his trusted medical position to assault and molest girls under the guise of medical treatment - including girls from the USA Olympic gymnastic team.
As for Randall Margraves, he has been released after assuring the judge that the incident was an emotional reaction to hearing what both his daughters had to say.
