If you live in certain areas of Canada, odd are you might have already experienced the Emergency Alert Systems that the country is testing. The purpose of these alerts is so all bodies of government and Environment Canada can send what they call 'life saving' notices to citizens via televisions, radios and now cellphones.
The nature of these alerts can range from fires, natural disasters and environmental concerns to explosions, biological hazards and terrorist information.
While the first round of testing the cellphone emergency alarms didn't 100% go to plan earlier this week- Alert Ready (the company behind the alerts) says that they will continue to work on the system till the bugs have been fixed.
With that being said, the company has released information on all the future emergency alert test dates happening all across the country for the next year.
