It seems that the market is flooded with new tablets from various companies right now but everyone remembers that Apple were the original source of the idea with its iPad.

The company has released various forms of the product over the years but as with just about everything Apple makes most have been really expensive.

Apple seems to be trying to change that today though.

At an event in Chicago today Apple showed off its newest version of the tablet and it's designed to be much more affordable than past models.

The new iPad has a 9.7 inch retina display screen and is able to go for 10 hours on a single charge, which means you won't need to pause your Netflix on it because it's running out of power!

The new iPad can also be used with an Apple new pencil, which is new to the iPad.

It's also incredibly light, weighing only 1 pound.

And of course it connects to Apple Pay, Wi-FI and LTE, and has a front and rear facing camera. It also comes loaded with all the apps you expect from Apple.

So how much does this thing cost you're wondering?

Knowing Apple you would expect this thing to cost you an arm and a leg but at only $429 it is quite affordable.

And you can buy it RIGHT NOW.

That's right, these things which were announced today, are already available for purchase on Apple Canada's website.
