On Monday, May 21st, news broke that Stephanie Adams and her son died after falling from a New York City hotel window. Stephanie and her son were found unconscious on the second-floor terrace of the Gotham Hotel.
The incident occurred on May 18th. According to reports, Stephanie Adams pushed her seven-year-old son, Vincent, out of the window of her penthouse suite at the Gotham hotel, before jumping out herself.
Their bodies were discovered around 8:15 AM. New York City Police have now confirmed that the deaths were by murder-suicide.
The New York City medical examiner's office originally ruled Stephanie's death a suicide, but have now confirmed that Vincent's death has been ruled a homicide. An autopsy revealed that the mother and son both died from multiple blunt impact injuries.
So who is Stephanie Adams? The 46-year-old was famous for being a Playboy centerfold model. She also wrote self-help books, ran an organic beauty products company and managed her husband's doctor's office.
At the time of the suicide, Stephanie was in a horrible custody battle with her husband, Charles Nicolai.

Stephanie reportedly filed at least three complaints of child abuse against her ex-husband in May 2016, August 2017 and September 2017 but they were all deemed "unfounded" by child-welfare officials.
