Apple Is Releasing Three New iPhones And Here's Everything You Need To Know About Them
Welcoming the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the X.
Finally, after months of anticipation, the day has finally come for Apple to reveal the highly anticipated iPhone updates, along with updates to the Apple Watch and Apple TV.
This monumental day (in the tech space) marks the first Apple release launch in the new Steve Jobs Theater located in the new Apple Park headquarters.
The main focus of the keynote is without a doubt the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which features incredible cameras, Augmented Reality capability and wireless charging.
The new design will feature wrap around glass along the front and the back that's the most durable glass available in a smartphone. And it will come in silver, space gray, and a beautiful gold finish.
The new design has also been microscopically sealed for water and dust resistance and will feature the most more powerful retina display, 3D Touch, as well as stereo speakers that are 75% louder than the iPhone 7.
More importantly, there is a brand new chip, called the A 11 Bionic. Which is the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone and 70% faster, and has been designed to work with 3D apps and games.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will feature a 12 MP sensor camera that's larger and faster, provides more light and is more power efficient. The new camera provides better colour saturation and reduces noise in photos and videos.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will now support the Qi wireless charging standard, meaning you'll be able to charge your phone by just leaving it on your bedside table. Amazing right? Nope, thing's are about to get better.
Just when you thought Apple couldn't get any better, Tim Cook revealed that they have a THIRD phone coming out, the iPhone X or the iPhone 10.
The phone will have a 5.8 inch OLED “super retina display”, dual camera, and will be available in space grey and silver.
There is no home button, meaning that the display is enabled simply by tapping on the screen. You can get back to the home screen by swiping up from the bottom, and you can get to multitasking by swiping up and pausing.
The TouchID has been replaced with “Face ID”, which runs on the front cameras. And there is also the new addition of "Animojis". The new phone will also have incredible cameras, both 12MP like on the 8 Plus, but a faster telephoto lens, which also gains optical image stabilisation.
The iPhone X will also feature two extra hours of battery life than the iPhone 7, which is AMAZING.
Now for the price. The iPhone X can be pre-ordered on October 27th and will begin shipping November 3rd for $999 USD for the 64GB.
