Canadians Are Ripping Tim Hortons Apart For Their New Fall Menu

Canadians weigh in on the Tim Hortons Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Yesterday, Tim Hortons unveiled their brand new Fall-inspired menu. The menu features all the delicious specialty flavours of Fall, including pumpkin spice drinks and baked treats with a Timmies twist. Today is also the official release date of the beloved Starbucks PSL.  Clearly, Tim Hortons is trying to get a piece of the (pumpkin) pie.

For a limited time, Canadians can now indulge in the following items from Tim Hortons - the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Spice Iced Capp, Apple Cinnamon Tart and Caramel Apple Danish.

Tim Hortons's big reveal has been met with some mixed reactions in Canada, from over-the-top excitement to complete disgust at the entire pumpkin spice phenomenon.

Some are even weighing in on the Tim Hortons VS. Starbucks debate. Sadly, the results aren't looking very good for the formerly Canadian coffee chain.

"Like all their items, they sound really gross and sweet to be honest," one Canadian Redditor says about the Timmies Fall meu. "Plus they keep coming up with these 'special baked treats' with ridiculously high prices."

The Tim Hortons Pumpkin Spice Latte is about $3.49 CAD, compared to $4.25 CAD for the Starbucks version in the exact same size. The Pumpkin Spice Iced Capp is ten cents more, and the two baked treats are less than $2.00 CAD.

"I'd prefer my caffeine fix without the side of diabetes.  Focus on improving your coffee and general baked good," says another Reddit user.

Other complaints about the Fall menu stem from the fact that it's still August, and we still have almost an entire month left of Summer.

I think it's safe to say that any reminder of cold weather is still unwelcome at this point, even the return of the delicious PSL.
