Michael Buble's management team is denying that he's retiring.
Canadian icon and musical genius, Michael Buble just confirmed that he is retiring from music.
As you may know, throughout Canada, Buble is a known star and national treasure. His Christmas music and silky voice is known not only in Canada but is cherished across the world. So naturally, we're devastated to find out that the man himself has just confirmed that he is officially giving up his music career.
Here are all the details.
In a very candid and heart-wrenching interview with The Daily Mail, Buble confirmed that he is ending his musical career. In the interview, he announced that he's created the "perfect record" and it will be his last.
This news is not completely surprising after Buble opened up about how his son was diagnosed with liver cancer a few short years ago. In the interview, he admitted that dealing with his son's illness has made it too hard for him to maintain a public life as a musician and made him re-evaluate his life.
In the interview, he said, "I don't have the stomach for it any more. The celebrity narcissism. This is my last interview. I'm retiring. I've made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top."
Buble also said that helping his son through his illness has given him a new outlook on life and made him realize what's important to him. Buble will be focusing on his family instead of his musical career.
He won't be using social media, conducting interviews or releasing music moving forward, apart from his final album.
Buble also announced that he recently filmed a special "Stand Up To Cancer" edition of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, so that's definitely something his fans can look forward to! In addition, his final album will be released next month in November.
