We hate to break it to you, but the snowstorm that swept through Ontario in the last 24 hours is not quite over. Despite Environment Canada cancelling their winter weather travel warning for the Greater Toronto Area just two hours ago, snow is still in the forecast today and tomorrow.
Until about 12 PM today, scattered flurries are in the forecast in southern Ontario. At which point the snow will become mixed with rain as we climb up to our Friday high of zero degrees.
But, forecasters predict that parts of Ontario can expect another 2 centimetres of snow to accumulate within the next several hours.
According to the Weather Network's hourly weather tracker, snow is expected to pick up again tomorrow at around 3:00 PM in the Toronto area. It'll begin to wind down in the early evening, so it looks like the worst of it is definitely over.
As for the rest of the week, though, things look pretty good for Toronto and the GTA. No snow in the forecast as of right now, and instead we're seeing plenty of sunshine and positive digits. A little consolation prize for the nightmare commute you likely had to put up with last night and this morning.
