It's the Pride celebration in Vancouver today which means the whole city is out and about celebrating! This is the 40th annual Pride parade in the British Columbia capital and everyone was in attendance.
Even Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister showed up to walk alongside in the parade. Some had hoped he would be there but nothing had been confirmed.
The Canadian Prime Minister could be seen wearing a pink shirt, smiling and holding a rainbow flag to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Lots of people captured photos and videos of Trudeau interacting with both the people in the parade and the people watching.
Trudeau has been in BC this weekend for meetings and to speak at some engagements.
Previously Trudeau marched in the Vancouver parade in 2016 but unfortunately could not attend last year. He has however walked in the Toronto pride parade in both 2016 and 2017, but missed the 2018 parade back in June.

Whether you love or hate Trudeau, it's nice to see a world leader demonstrating how to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
