RCMP recently announced that charges have been laid in the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others.
They have not yet said who has been charged or what the charges are.
The crash was exactly three months ago on April 6. The junior hockey team had been heading to a playoff game in Nipawin, Saskatchewan when their bus collided with a truck on the highway.
Some of the injured players remain in the hospital still recovering from the crash which killed the team's coach, as well as 15 others.
While the RCMP have not announced who has been charged in this incident, at the time of the crash it was said the truck had failed to stop at a flashing stop sign and therefore collided with the Bronco's bus.
Canadians responding to the news of charges on Reddit have said they are glad that investigators took their time and gave the tragic event fair consideration. The crash had garnered international attention and left a big impact on Canadians.
The RCMP have also announced a news conference that will be held today in Saskatchewan at 1 pm CDT (3 pm EST), where they will reveal more details about the crash.
More to come.
