On the morning of Friday, August 10th, a man unleashed terror upon citizens in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As we first reported, the mass shooting left four people dead according to the police, which sparked a manhunt for the person responsible for the shooting spree.
On Friday morning, Fredericton Police confirmed that they had a suspect in custody and multiple fatalities. Now, more information has been released regarding the suspected shooter's identity and those that were killed during the massacre.
According to CTV News, the shooter is allegedly Matthew Vincent Raymond. The 48-year-old man has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder. Police also say that the suspect allegedly fired a long gun from the window of his apartment nearby. He allegedly lived on third floor in the building.
The four victims include two police officers and two civilians that were in a relationship.

The first victim was Constable Robert Costello, father of four children. Costello was a 20-year veteran on the police force. He was known for being able to de-escalate situations. The 45-year-old police officer was just beginning his shift when he got the call regarding the shooting.
The second victim was Constable Sara Mae Burns. The 43-year-old mother of three became a police officer at the age of 40-years-old. She had just finished her shift at 7 AM when she volunteered to join Costello on the call.
A couple, Donnie Robichaud and Bobbie Lee Wright, had just begun dating when they were killed in the shooting. Robichaud was a 42-year-old singer and bass player. He also worked in an auto-body shop. He had just begun dating Wright when they were shot in the massacre.
According to his cousin Sean Callahan, the two had planned to go away on vacation on that same day after work. Robichaud has three children that will be left without their father.
According to a friend of Wright, she was known as a "quiet girl" who "loved to hang out with friends and always had a smile on her face."
The alleged suspect, Matthew Vincent Raymond is scheduled to appear in court on August 27th.
