So there's a lot happening with our American, neighbours to the south, and not all of it has been good (understatement of the century? Yeah we think so). I can't speak for everyone else out there but I'm happier than ever to call myself a Canadian.
Luckily for us, things are going to start getting even better for the True North. With the political instability happening under the Trump government we're starting to see that negatively affect their American dollar.
While it's only a small decrease, the US dollar going down means that Canadians are getting more for their money than they were once before. The difference at the moment is only by about .33 cents but it's a good sign that our dollar is starting to get closer and closer to being equal to the American one.
What could this mean for us? Well travel to the US is going to get cheaper. Canadian gas prices will start to go down. Buying American goods will be less expensive for us - which all equal more money in our pocket. Now, who's mad about that?
