The disappearance of Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou has been one riddled with mystery after the boy vanished just over 10 days ago in Montreal. After a brief Amber Alert had been issued, it was lifted due to lack of evidence of an abduction. Yet since then he still has not been found.

Unfortunately, while there have been no concrete leads for the police and investigators, there is a grim assumption that is being made by officials. The Montreal police are saying as of right now they believe that Kouakou most likely fell into a river. This is built off of his last sighting near the Riviere des Prairies. While it isn't concrete, it's the "No. 1 hypothesis" according to police.

As of right now the police divers have searched through the river six times throughout this past week but have found nothing. Kouakou's father continues to claim his son did not fall in the river but has been abducted.

Police have also investigated 20 known potential child predators in the area which hasn't amounted to any further leads.

The police are continuing to work with over 700 tips regarding the case and are offering a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the boy finally being found.

Apart from diving in the river, the police have also been going door to door in the surrounding neighbourhood as well as using horses, a canine unit and helicopters to survey the area. We can only hope that all of this results in this little boy's safe return home.
