You very likely know that recently the Ontario government led by Doug Ford lowered the minimum price of beer down to only a dollar.
This has become known as the ‘buck-a-beer’ policy. Unfortunately for consumers, many breweries said they wouldn’t do it because they would lose money if they did.
Well, President's Choice is going to actually give Ontarians the chance to actually only pay one dollar per beer.
The brand has announced that starting on August 27th through the Labour Day weekend select PC brand beer bottles will only cost you a dollar (plus $0.10 deposit), which means you can save big time on your beer purchases for the last long weekend of summer.
There are a total of 6 different PC beers that will be available for cheap during the weekend, these are:
PC 2.5, PC Cerveza, PC Dry, PC Light, PC Genuine and PC Honey
All of the beers mentioned above will be priced at $13.20 for 12 bottles or $26.40 for 24 bottles.
“We launched the original buck-a-beer back in 1992, customers were so excited about a quality product at an affordable price,” said Ian Gordon, Senior Vice President of President's Choice.
“With the change in pricing rules here, we were excited to help our customers in Ontario celebrate this long weekend," Gordon continued.
So if you were disappointed with Ontario's lack of 'buck-a-beer' selections, the Labour Day weekend will be your chance to finally get your hands on them.
