This "Sex And The City" Star Is Running For New York Governor And We're Shook
We can't believe this!
Who would've ever thought that one of our favourite HBO stars would one day run for office? Not me! We were completely surprised to find out that one of our favourite "Sex and the City" girls has announced that she will be stepping away from acting and into politics!
Our favourite smart and sexy lawyer, Miranda Hobbes has officially thrown her hat in the ring. Cynthia Nixon just released a captivating video announcing her run for Governor of New York state.
In the video, she explains that she is dedicated to fixing New York. The video literally gave me chills. She explains that she was raised by her single mother in New York. In addition, she decided to raise her children in New York and she's also determined to fix everything broken in New York.
The actress has received applause from fans online. Her "Sex and the City" character is unrecognizable in the candidacy video. Usually, actors and actresses that turn to politics aren't met with such a positive response but Cynthia has received a warm welcome online!
Previous to running you can find images of her at political and activist marches. Here's a picture of her at the Women's March bundled up outside with fellow marchers back in January. And just last week, Nixon posted a picture from her son Charlie's high school that participated in the walkout protest.
We're happy to see that Cynthia is channeling her energy into something so positive! Good luck! Is it just me, or does Cynthia Nixon totally sound like a politician's name?
