Town Shoes Is Closing All Of Their Stores Across Canada

400 workers will be let go as a result.

Designer Shoe Warehouse Inc. has just announced that they will be closing all of their Town Shoes stores across Canada and simultaneously shutting down the brand, Town Shoes Ltd.

The company is based out of Ohio, the United States but the stores have become a go-to shop for Canadians across the country. The famous shoe store was known for their great deals on amazing brand-named shoes, boots and heels. So, the news that they're closing up shop is devastating.

The company has stated that they plan to close down all 38 stores that are currently operating across Canada. They plan to shut down the stores by January 2019.

As a result, many people will lose their jobs. The big chain currently employs around 400 works across Canada and they are expected to be affected by the closures. DSW has states that they hope to help the affected workers by finding them positions as Shoe Company, Shoe Warehouse, and other DSW owned brands.

They've stated that the closures are due to "increasing competition in the footwear market" due to this, there have been significant financial losses.

Either way, we're super upset that we won't be able to find great deals at Town Shoes anymore.
