There are so many fun, new things coming to Disneyland and we seriously can’t wait. As if the holidays weren’t magical enough, the parks announced an overhaul of two classic rides and the arrival of a new Star Wars ride coming to the park in January 2020. If you haven’t heard about the brand-new Disneyland Rise of the Resistance sneak peek, get ready for a special treat.

Disney revealed 9 new secrets about the upcoming ride during the Thanksgiving airing of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” on ABC.

Here’s what’s coming to the ride:

  • While guests are in line for the ride, they will see holoscreens of the Star Wars universe.
  • As riders prepare for their upcoming mission in the ‘ready room,’ they will be greeted by BB-8.
  • Cast members in battle gear direct riders to their transport ship.
  • Everyone's favorite rebel alliance leader Admiral Ackbar will be there!
  • Animatronic stormtroopers can be seen while passing through the Star Destroyer hangar.
  • Riders run into an Imperial probe droid in the hallway in a throwback to "The Empire Strikes Back."
  • There's a massive blaster battle.
  • The Star Destroyer shoots huge laser cannons over the heads of the Rise of the Resistance riders.
  • As tie fighters swarm, riders find an escape pod at the ready. *Whew!*

Here is a look at the ride's full preview.

These secrets were leaked in ABC's 60-second airing special. According to The Orange County Register, the highly-anticipated ride will feature the Star Wars heroine, Rey and offer passengers the chance to join her on a special mission to fight the First Order.

Rise of the Resistance is set to open at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on January 17, 2020. The ride will also open at Disney World in Orlando, Florida on December 5, 2019.
