It certainly feels hotter than summer as the unrelenting heat caused massive crowds at Corona del Mar, California.

On Saturday, August 15, Narcity hit up the beach to escape the scorching temps of the Inland Empire.

On top of people swarming to the ocean to get relief from the hot spell, the National Weather Service reported record highs across SoCal.

Coastal cities weren't the only place to experience record-breaking heat — Death Valley National Park reported a high of 130 F!

An Excessive Heat Warning was issued for a majority of California, meaning you'll want to hide out inside for the time being — stay cool out there.
