The First Ever Mickey-Themed Ride Coming To Disney World Finally Has An Opening Date
It all started with a mouse.
Children and adults alike flock to Orlando seasonally to revel in the wonders of Disney World. There’s truly something for everyone: thrilling rides, unique experiences, sights and sounds you won’t find anywhere else. But the one thing that has always been missing? A Mickey Mouse-themed ride, of course! And now, we finally have an opening date for the first-ever Mickey and Minnie ride, coming to Walt Disney World Orlando March 4, 2020.
While Disney World is geared towards children, everyone enjoys the magic of The Happiest Place on Earth, and this new ride will certainly be no exception!
Just a few weeks ago, as Mickey and Minnie both celebrated their 90th birthdays, new details were released on the interior of the new ride.
We also found out that while both Disneyland California and Disney World Orlando will be getting the new ride, Orlando will get to see it debut first. Sorry, Cali!
Fans were teased with a cool new 3-D poster, sporting a tentative release date of Spring 2020 for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but not until just this week did we get the exact date.
The ride will be found by stepping through a portal in the Chinese Theatre, delivering you into the cartoon world, where mouse rules apply!
After boarding a train conducted by Goofy, guests are in for a wild ride full of adventure. The multi-dimensional, “2 ½-D” experience won’t require glasses, but it will still be immersive with state-of-the-art technology and visual effects.
Come March, you can board a train of 4 cars and travel through different themed rooms as you follow Mickey and Minnie on their wild adventure!
