Like true fans of the infamous holiday, people start counting down to the next spooky season the day after October 31st, and it’s no different for the major event of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Last year’s display was as terrifying as ever, and fans were especially excited for the Stranger Things house. With the new Stranger Things season 4 teaser trailer dropping today and talk of tentative filming schedules, fans are already hoping that it will be released in time to debut as another feature at Halloween Horror Nights 2020.

While we know we’ll be getting a season 4, there’s been no set release date as of yet. To fans’ delights, Netflix renewed the show three months after season three premiered.

What’s On Netflix reported that filming for season 4 began on January 7, 2020, and is set to wrap up by August 5, 2020.

The continued 80’s theme that the Halloween Horror Nights has highlighted the past few years would make another Stranger Things house perfect for the horror-themed mega bash at the park.

While that filming schedule seems like a crunch to make another Universal HHN debut, fans are still keeping the hope. According to Orlando Informer, the lineup for this year’s HHN has not been announced yet.

No news is good news, right? It means there's still a chance! One fan expressed their pleas for a summer release date.

This will be Halloween Horror Night’s 30th year scaring the pants off eager guests, and last year, Millie Bobby Brown herself even made an appearance at the Orlando event.

This Tweeter made a point — and possibly the best pun  —
that, well, stranger things have happened!

Anyone remotely familiar with the film industry knows that anything can happen during filming, including both setbacks and possibly getting ahead of schedule.

This Twitter user replied to a question about the release date with pragmatism, implying it probably wouldn't release before HHN.

While we can't say for sure if the release date will come before Universal's scariest event, the teaser trailer has many excited about what's to come. If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, you can check out the teaser below.

Still, hardcore fans are holding out for a terrifying miracle that the season debuts in time for HHN 2020.
