The cool weather that decided to show up in Atlanta yesterday may be a nice glimpse of fall, but now we have some heavy rain underway to go along with it. It's not just any rain, though. It will be a product of Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 showing up on the Atlanta weather radar uninvited throughout the Southeast right now.

Relentless Mother Nature is back again to put a cramp in your outdoor weekend plans. Whether you plan to frolick in a pumpkin patch or tailgate for the UGA game this weekend, you may want to rethink your plans (or at least bring a poncho). On the bright side, at least it won't be as cold as it was yesterday.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the cyclone is expected to be a tropical or at least sub-tropical storm. The storm isn't messing around, moving at 21 MPH with consistent wind speeds of 40 MPH. At this rate, it is presumed to go into full tropical mode by the end of the day today, at which point it would be named "Nestor."

According to 11alive, a tropical storm warning is currently in effect in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Alabama. It's expected to make its way to Southwest Georgia by tomorrow morning (Oct. 18) but Atlanta is definitely not going unscathed.

The Metro Atlanta area will catch 15 to 20 MPH winds with higher gusts of wind. Overall, the storm is expected to reach wind speeds up to a whopping 50 MPH.

According to Accuweather, Atlanta won't see any rain until tomorrow so take in the outdoors while you can. However, your Saturday tailgating plans may not be totally foiled because rain will show up in the Atlanta area sporadically in small bouts. You can never be too sure what to expect, but it looks like most of the day switches between rain and clouds.

If you are a UGA football fan, you know nothing stops us from cheering on our Dawgs. That's why there are ponchos and umbrellas, am I right? #BeatKentucky!
