Remember when we used to jam out to "Sugar We're Goin' Down" and "American Idiot" back in our prime? Of course you do. We all had the guilty pleasure of listening to punk rock in the 2000s while dancing in the mirror, and we've got good news for you: the legends are back. Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer are touring in 2020 and they're making a (mosh) pit stop in Atlanta.
The three bands have come together to form an epic coalition, bringing us "The Hella Mega Tour", and we expect it will definitely live up to its name. The tour will begin on June 13 2020 in Paris, make its way through Europe, then join us in all its glory across America. The concert will be held in Atlanta at Suntrust Park on Aug. 8.
We know you're shaking in your skater shoes, but tickets aren't on sale yet. It may be a year away, but you can't say you don't have fair warning about snatching your tickets fast as soon as they go on sale Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Get your calendars ready because this is something your 16-year-old self is going to thank you for.
We know your everlasting love for the dreamy Pete Wentz and Billy Joe Armstrong is real and this gives you the chance to relive the days when you had their CDs in your boombox and their posters on your walls.
They're still making amazing music and they totally slap on stage, so your glory days will come swarming back in the realest of ways. All we can say in advance is, "Thanks for the memories."
If you are looking for more nostalgic fun in the city, you can play old school arcade games while drinking booze at this retro Atlanta bar or this vintage candy shop with over 500 flavors of '90s candy.
