The transition into the adult world (and actually being on your own) can be a little terrifying, especially if you're moving to a city where you do not know anyone. The world is your oyster and for the first time, you get to decide where you plant your roots. It's been announced that some of the best places to live in the U.S. include these two North Carolina cities that you have to visit to experience for yourself.

Curbed recently released a list of the 10 best cities for people wanting to relocate, and two of North Carolina's major cities made it on the list. Charlotte and Raleigh are growing in population and modernization, making them hubs for quality millennial living.

With the number of new attractions, restaurants, and neighborhoods in these two locations, they both deserve their spots. Not to mention, North Carolina is the only state with more than one city in the ranking.

The housing website ranked these cities by analyzing their “walkability, park access, diversity, housing costs, job opportunities," and more.

Charlotte is a booming city and the capital of North Carolina, so you would hope it would be a great place to relocate.

It is rumored the culture and vibe of the city make you feel right at home and might just take your relocating fears away.

Curbed stated that this city has been turned into a "millennial boomtown" because of its constant growth of young and diverse residents.

New residential areas are being built, with fewer banks and corporate hubs in the metro area, which makes for a great place to start a new life.

If you're an entrepreneur and in need of some career inspo, Raleigh is the place to go.

Raleigh has a high-tech economy and booming construction activity that are bringing in new job opportunities, especially for college-graduating millennials.

Raleigh also ranked third in the most attractive places in the country for millennials, according to a recent study. If this doesn't scream "move here," we don't know what does.

A few other cities that are on this list include Dallas, Texas; Madison, Wisconsin; Denver, Colorado; and St. Louis, Missouri. You have so many options, now is the time to explore the world.
