If you have been considering adding some extra love to your household by welcoming aboard a new four-legged family member, this can be the perfect time to make it real. Dallas Animal Services is offering free adoptions until further notice to help clear out their full kennels, so don't wait any longer!

The entity has been working at its highest capacity since last November, and when Dallas County declared a state of emergency three days ago, things got critical.

What can you do? Well, if you were considering buying or adopting a dog, or even if you haven't but you are a dog lover and have some extra space, you can take home a new furry pal for FREE.

You will help them avoid getting euthanized. Large dogs are at most risk now, so they need adopters quickly. The Dallas Animal Service personnel is ready to guide you through the adoption process smoothly.

If you can't adopt at the moment, but you want to help, you can go ahead and foster a large dog for some time.

The process will be as quick as the adoption one, and you need no experience. DAS will also provide you all the foster supplies you may need to welcome your new "roommate."

If you are interested in giving a dog in need the new (or temporary) loving home they need, you can go ASAP to the Dallas Animal Services primary location. They are open and operating normally.

Before going, make sure to check the adorable list of adoptable pets by clicking here.

You'll have a hard time picking which one of those cuties you want in your life.

For your convenience, all the pets at the Dallas Animal Services arrive at their new homes spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

To adopt, you only need to bring your driver's license or other state-issued photo ID and filled the adoption applications that will be at the front desk. Or you can save time and download it now in both English or Spanish
