The wait is finally over! We have a new royal baby! After a long wait since the announcement that Kate Middleton was pregnant her and her husband Prince William welcomed their third baby into the world today.
The baby was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in London the same hospital where the couples 2 other children, George and Charlotte, were born back in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
And the best part is that we already know the gender of the baby.
It’s a boy.
He was born weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces.
He’s now also automatically 5th in line for the throne, after Prince Charles, his father, and his two older siblings.
His birth pushes soon-to-be married Prince Harry all the way down to 6th overall. But we doubt he cares very much where he is in the line of succession overall at this point.
The boy is the Queen’s 6th great-grandchild, so she must be very happy today.
Now we know you’re screaming in your head 'what’s its name, what’s its name!??'
Well unfortunately there is no word at this time about what the name of the boy is and it most likely won’t be announced for a few more days. Royals tend to play these things pretty close to the chest in the days following the birth of a new child.
So you’ll just have to keep an eye out for when that information becomes available.
Congratulations to the royal couple and we can’t wait to find out what his name is!
