Nightmare Alley star Cate Blanchett has started filming in Toronto and was spotted on set this past week. According to What’sFilming.ca, production started in the city on January 13. Her fellow castmates reportedly include Bradley Cooper and Willem Dafoe.

The movie, directed by Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro, is a remake of the original film noir from 1947. According to IMDb the synopsis of the film is, “A corrupt con-man teams up with a female psychologist to trick people into giving them money.”

Blanchett, who is playing Lilith Ritter, an untrustworthy psychologist, was seen walking around set decked out in her 1940s wardrobe.

In the pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, the American actress was dressed in a black leather jumpsuit and matching black boots. She also had her blonde locks curled in a classic 40s look.

According to the Daily Mail, she was seen walking and speaking with another woman beside her. The actress carried a brown purse, iPad, and a reusable water bottle while traversing through the town of trailers.

Cooper and Dafoe have yet to be seen on set.
