Your favourite The Vampire Diaries alum is back on the market after calling it quits with her beau, Grant Mellon. Their relationship was short-lived, as dating rumours began early this year, and they never even became Instagram official. They stayed very low key and private, but still brought each other to parties and events and like any relationship ending, Nina Dobrev and Grant Mellon's break up is sure to sting.
Dobrev and Mellon started dating around January 2019 and spent tons of quality time together throughout their relationship. According to Hollywood Life, in March they were seen at a Los Angeles Lakers game which established their public relationship. And then a few months later, they reported that "the two attended the 2019 Cannes Film Festival" where they were caught "packing on the PDA" which was just enough to tell us that they were a confirmed package.
According to E! News, the couple have been split up for a few weeks now and haven't been seen together in more than a month. They also reported that their insider said, "She has been partying and hanging out with friends without him. He has been shooting a Netflix film outside of Los Angeles and they haven't been hanging out together." Of course, you wouldn't be able to sense a shift in Dobrev's Instagram posts since she never shared photos with him. But, she has been posting like normal and seems to be doing well.
Over the Halloween weekend, Dobrev posted photos of her multiple costumes including her as Brad Pitt in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, and other photos in a pretty good Billie Eilish impersonation. And a couple of weeks ago, she also shared Instagram story videos of her jamming out at a Jonas Brothers concert in California, which was all too relatable.
Dobrev grew up in Toronto but currently lives in Los Angeles as part of her acting career. Since The Vampire Diaries ended in 2017, she's worked on a few movies and TV shows including the movies Dog Days, Run This Town, and Lucky Day. Before Dobrev was linked to Mellon, she also dated Glen Powell but they, "only dated for a few months and drifted apart due to their demanding schedules" according to E! News.
Mellon is a 33-year-old born and raised Pennsylvania man who does screen-writing, acting, and directing. His most notable acting role was in a few episodes of Tyler Perry's If Loving You Is Wrong.
Here's hoping that Dobrev and Mellon are both doing well after their breakup and are still on good terms.
