Nina Dobrev Showed Fans She's Still A Proud Canadian While On Vacation

Oh, Canada! Nina Dobrev’s Paris Fashion Week appearance had the actress flaunting the little blue book every Canadian should recognize. In a classic Instagram boomerang, she revealed to fans that she still holds her “Canuck” citizenship.

Dobrev was born in Bulgaria but moved to Toronto at a young age and it’s there that she was raised and got her start in show business.

When she got the role of Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries, Dobrev went from being a Degrassi star in Toronto to an A-list celeb living in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then she’s worked on blockbuster hits like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Flatliners and according to her Instagram, spends a lot of time in the United States.

However, while it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not she obtains dual citizenship with the US like other celebs, she was still proudly showing off her hometown spirit on her most recent vacation.

The boomerang on her Instagram featured the actress along with her travel companion waving around their passports while waiting to board a flight out of Paris. Dobrev’s was unmistakably Canadian.

She captioned the short video “Thank you, next.”

While there’s been no confirmation on where the celeb was heading next, she had been in France kicking off the start to a week of high-end fashion.

According to Vogue, the 31-year-old actress had been attending the Dior ‘70s themed fashion show on February 25 alongside stars like Maya Hawke and Cara Delevingne.

2019 was a big year for the celeb. IMDb reports she starred on the CBS comedy Fam, worked alongside Mena Massoud and Ben Platt in the film Run This Town, and released a second film Lucky Day back in October.

Dobrev’s newest project, Sick Girl, is currently in post-production and doesn’t have a release date yet.
