You Can Jump Into A Red Sea Of Cranberries At This Ontario Farm In October

Fall is all about celebrating the harvest! If you're looking for a unique way to celebrate harvest season, aside from the traditional visit to a pumpkin patch, you can visit a cranberry farm! At this adorable Ontario cranberry farm, you can get the ultimate fall photo with a cranberry plunge!

Every fall, Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery produces an epic 300,000-400,000 pounds of cranberries! Their harvest begins in late September. Then, every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can jump into their Cranberry Plunge!

The Cranberry Plunge is where you get to stand in a sea of floating cranberries and get a super festive fall photo of your yourself. You'll be wearing protective coveralls to keep you dry, so go ahead and have fun! Some of the most popular photos are of people jumping or tossing cranberries in the air.

Harvest time is an exciting time of year at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery. Instagram user @ohoxo expressed how she loves visiting in the fall. She goes every year to walk along the cranberry fields and enjoy wine tasting. Another user, @jcraigslist, is also a huge fan, "I've been a bunch of times... I love it."

In addition to the Cranberry Plunge, there's plenty of other fun things to explore at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery. You can go wine tasting, explore the hiking trails, go on a wagon tour, watch the harvest, and buy some cranberries to take home. Before you leave, you'll want to stop by Harvest Cranberry Cafe where you can eat cranberry sausage on a bun, or try some delicious cranberry baked goods.

Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery is 2.5 hours from Toronto in Bala, Ontario. There's no fee to visit the farm; you only need to pay for the activities you want to do. The prices for the Cranberry Plunge, wagon tours, and wine tasting will be listed shortly on the Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery website.
