Are you looking for work and need to make some money during this unprecedented time? Ontario jobs during COVID-19 are available in the province's food and agriculture section and Doug Ford wants people to apply for them. There are positions at grocery stores, farms and industry organizations.
On April 4, Premier Doug Ford tweeted that the province's food supply chain is looking for people to work in positions whether it be cashiers at a grocery store, a chicken farm manager or an advertising sales representative.
"If you’re looking for work, Ontario’s agriculture sector needs you," he said on Twitter.
There are a lot of jobs available that you can apply for online in that sector if you need a job right now.
Loblaws is hiring part-time staff to work in stores and distribution centres and that includes grocery clerks, pharmacists and warehouse assemblers.
Walmart is doing the same for their stores and warehouses with produce associate, overnight manager and pharmacy assistant jobs available.
Maple Leaf Foods is looking to hire people for different positions, including manufacturing ones, within the company.
Sobeys is also hiring cashiers, coffee bar servers, deli clerks, cake decorators and managers in-store and it's offering some corporate jobs too.

In another tweet, Ford said that "we need more agriculture heroes to keep our shelves stocked."
He also called these jobs a "great way" to contribute during COVID-19.
