If you love the outdoors, Ontario is a great place to be. The province is full of diverse parks and incredible hiking trails to explore. Next time you're itching for an adventure, you can take a trip to this majestic cavern hike just a few hours away from Toronto. Ontario's Nottawasaga Lookout has massive caves that look like ancient ruins. 

Located along the Niagara Escarpment near Collingwood, Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Park boasts lush forests and towering cliffs.

The 6-kilometre trail isn't for the faint of heart, as it requires some climbing, but it's all worth it for the breathtaking views.

Along the Singhampton Cave section of the trail, you'll come across massive crevices and caves.

Once part of the cliff face, these imperial blocks look almost like the ruins of an ancient fortress.

The mossy rockfaces and sunlight shining through the trees above make this a picture-perfect place to visit.

The rest of the trail will lead you to a stunning lookout spot where you can gaze over the sprawling forest.

You'll also find some of the most incredible displays of trilliums in the area.

The province has no shortage of caves and caverns to explore. 

You can check out other majestic caves like the Tyendinaga Caverns, Ontario's largest known underground cavern.

This unique journey will take you beneath the earth, where you'll come across a hidden blue well.

Warsaw Caves is home to unusual, spiralling caves called "kettles." You can climb down these round rocks and explore other rocky crevices in the area as well.

There is a fee involved when visiting Nottawasaga Lookout. The daily vehicle permit is $12.25 minimum, and walk-in fees are $2 per person.
