Star Wars fans are dedicated. So much that when the newest Star Wars ride opened at Galaxy’s Edge this morning at 8 a.m., guests had already been lined up since 6:30 a.m. Star Wars Rise of the Resistance debuted at Disney, and already people are feeling some type of way towards it.

There's regular tickets, and then there's early bird tickets. But even with those you are going to have to wait if you're planning to check the ride out.

Video footage from the ground and an overhead drone was released this morning just to show the maddness that was the crowd. But that wasn’t going to dampen anybody’s spirits.

One guest described her experience as leaving her completely speechless, in the best way.

The ride begins with riders getting intercepted on their way to meet with General Leia Organa and taken prisoner aboard the Star Destroyer by the First Order. Fans come face-to-face with their favorite characters and are even chased by Kylo Ren as they try to escape.

Twitter use ryno1185 posted a selfie and declared he was forever changed after the experience.

Sporting cutting-edge new technology, with part interactive simulation and part trackless coaster, it is also Disney’s longest ride yet at 15 minutes.

Show times have been predicated well into the evening.

While the lines are long, the ride is beyond worth it. One park guest even had time to create a meme comparing himself to Baby Yoda when he first arrived, and to an aged, adult Yoda when he finally finished the ride.

The opening day wasn’t without its struggles, however, as around 7:30 a.m. there were complications leading to an evacuation for about an hour. Guests didn’t have to wait too long before re-entering the queue again, and priority was given to those who had been evacuated.

For more Disney news, check out the new release date for the first-ever Mickey Mouse themed ride. It looks super cute so don't miss it if you get to go to Disney in 2020. There's also a new Ratatouille ride!
