It is easy to find a bar in Florida, especially when there are so many almost every street. But, if you are trying to avoid your ex or coworkers after happy hour, this place is the perfect spot: Hanson's Shoe Repair is a stylish speakeasy and you need a password to enter.
This speakeasy is located in the Hanson's Building, probably the oldest building in downtown Orlando. If you are wondering why it is called a "shoe repair" it's because Andrew Hanson acquired it in 1894 for his "Hanson Shoe Repair Shop" which had Orlando's first electric sign.
This building dates back to the late 1800s and has a 19th-century commercial style. The bar is on the third floor and you need a password to get in. You can find their daily password on Twitter or just give them a call (407)-476-9446.
The place has a relaxing atmosphere with a group of bartenders offering great cocktails. According to WESH, the bar only accepts 20 to 30 people at a time; providing a more intimate atmosphere and offering adults a hidden haven to escape the loud Downtown area.
Hanson's Shoe Repair is located at 27 E Pine St, Orlando, FL 32801. Check here for more information about the speakeasy.
