Lake Nona Hosts A Massive Free Food Truck Fest Once A Month In Orlando

The food truck craze has swept over Orlando like the savory scent of BBQ on a summer breeze. It’s decidedly irresistible, and for good reason. Who wouldn’t love the taste of home-grown, hand-crafted food with the added bonus of not breaking the bank? In Lake Nona, just 30 minutes from the hub of Orlando, you can treat your taste buds to a massive food truck event every first Friday of the month during Art After Dark, and it's free admission!

The Art After Dark event hosts three hours of art displays, live demonstrations, special exhibitions, and live music held every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. taking over the beautiful Lake Nona Town Center.

And with the addition of a food truck rally-style event every first Friday of the month, After Dark just got even better.

Tucked between the delicious eateries of Chroma Modern Bat + Kitchen, Park Pizza & Brewing Co, and Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, this massive food truck fest kicks off at 6 p.m. and is free to enter.

Parking fills up pretty fast, so you’ll definitely want to get there early. The next free food truck event is coming up on Friday, February 7, 2020.

For local business owners interested in getting in on the blossoming Lake Nona foodie and art scene, you can register to become a vendor for either the weekly After Dark event or the Food Truck Edition here.

The town center will be awash with color, lights, and art that really add to a laidback community vibe — and you can't go wrong with free attendance!

They also host a farmer’s market every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lake Nona’s budding art and culture scene is taking over the growing town and can be seen sprinkled about, like this hidden stained-glass house.

Lake Nona is also home to a hidden upcycled shipping container park full of unique and delicious places to eat.
