A Mardi Gras Celebration Coming To Orlando Will Make You Feel Like You're In New Orleans

You don't have to go all the way to New Orleans to grab flying beads and enjoy street parties, colorful costumes, concerts and lots of fun. Mardi gras at Universal Orlando is the carnival celebration you were waiting for, right here in Florida.
Every night starting February 1 you will be able to experience this thrilling event and all its surprises. To be honest, here you'll have the best of both worlds, some exceptional theme-park entertainment, and a cool Mardi Gras parade with live concerts with recognized recording artists, authentic cajun food, dazzling parades and dozens of performers on the street each night.
We don't blame you if you can't stop smiling already.
The parade is one of the most anticipated attractions. You can dance with the street performers, take cool pics, and catch a good amount of flying beads from the colorful floats coming down the streets of Universal.
Normally the floats are thematic. In the past years, there have been such picturesque themes as festivals around the world, mythical creatures, zodiac signs, and party animals, so we cannot wait to know what they will surprise us with in 2020.
Do not miss a single minute of the parade. Here you'll find a map that shows what its route will be, so keep it handy.
At this Mardi Gras, you can also catch some of the biggest names in music live in concert on select nights. The 2020 lineup is yet to be announced, but they have had artists and bands like Fifth Harmony, Jason Derulo, Ne-Yo, Ziggy Marley, Pitbull, and Sean Paul, in previous years. And that's just to mention a few.
Plus you’ll enjoy authentic New Orleans bands in every corner. Tunes by real Louisiana jazz, blues, and zydeco bands will have you dancing all night long.
But, the festivities can't be complete without some delicious food and drinks. This event will treat you and your friends with some authentic (and mouthwatering!) Cajun food every night.
Several dishes will be available for you to purchase. Classics such as jambalaya, beignets and other tasting sizes delicacies that will transport your mouth straight to New Orleans.
Visit the from the French Quarter Courtyard, located in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida so you can sample these Cajun and Creole cuisine creations.
Last year's menu included Crab Etouffee, Catfish Po Boy, King Cake, and specialty drinks.
