If you were on Twitter yesterday you may have noticed that #Floridamall was trending. After much panicking and concern as to why it was trending, finally, it was revealed that all the hype was actually for a good thing—the beloved M&M store is relocating to Disney Springs, and it is going to be one of the biggest in the world. Yum.
Twitter users were borderline hysterical yesterday when the Florida Mall was trending, and they could not figure out why. The more people asked, the more the hashtag trended, which made it even more difficult for the real answer to be unearthed.
All is well that ends well though, and now we can look forward to a brand-new interactive experience coming to Disney Springs in 2020. The new M&M store will be replacing the old Curl and Fit2Run stores next to Splitsville.
Construction is set to begin immediately, and though we do not have a set date for the debut yet, we can expect the full store to be finished in 2020.
Mars Retail Group owns several of these state-of-the-art experiential stores across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Since you’ll only be able to find this interactive chocolate store in Las Vegas, New York, London, or Shanghai, we feel pretty lucky as Floridians to get to be added to that exclusive list!
With Disney Springs being one of the most popular retail locations in not only Florida but the entire country, it’s the perfect place to house the new M&M addition.
The store will be much more than just retail, but is said to be an “immersive, interactive chocolate experience.”
As the new store opens in 2020, the old store inside the Florida Mall will be closed permanently.
