You Can Actually Swim With Giant Stingrays At This Spot In Orlando

When it comes to admiring the beauty of wildlife, nothing compares to getting up close and personal. While we could take an ocean snorkeling adventure, you probably won't see a stingray in the wild. You can actually swim with stingrays at Discovery Cove in Orlando.

This one in a million experience is a morning start like no other. You join Discovery Cove Orlando's staff in the water to swim with and feed Cownose and Southern stingrays as they swim about in a beautiful tropical enclosed habitat.

Cownose rays are known to be super shy but friendly and swim towards the surface, while Southern stingrays are friendly unless stepped on or threatened - you'll also be with a trained and highly knowledgable staff member who can teach you more about these beautiful creatures of the deep and their feeding routine. They're surprisingly stunning and docile creatures to experience up close.

The ray experience opens bright and early Thursday-Monday from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. with your experience in the water generally lasting about 30-45 minutes after a little prep time.

Each ticket to feed the rays is $59/person, with base park admission also required. Base park admission always includes the Explorer's Aviary, Freshwater Oasis, Serenity Bay, The Grand Reef, Wind-Away River, and their dolphin swim - which is probably one of the cutest things ever.

You can also take advantage of all the tropical paradise vibes as you snorkel in Serenity Bay or take a trip over to the rainforest canopied Freshwater Oasis - like a personal aquatic mini marine life escape.

A once in a lifetime experience with the bonus of feeling like a tropical escape; we're slappin' on our gills to swim and feed the string rays at Discovery Cove Orlando.

Florida is full of awesome wildlife experiences; whether you take a drive down a secluded road for a Florida wildlife safari, pet and feed sloths & rhinos at Busch Gardens, or take a wild dip with an alligator - there are adventures galore in our Sunshine Paradise.
