It looks like the "happiest place on earth" is making a comeback. As Florida continues to implement its Phase 1 reopening plan, Disney fans everywhere have been holding their breath for information that could make or break their summer vacation. You can start taking out those Mickey Mouse ears because Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando is taking reservations.

The Walt Disney World website is currently allowing guests to make hotel reservations for July, despite the parks still being closed.

The news of summer reservations follows the announcement of Shanghai Disneyland’s opening on May 11, as well as Disney Springs reopening on May 20.

Disney World, like the rest of Florida, is taking the reopening process slowly and is enforcing several new restrictions and precautions to keep their guests safe. Additional safety training for cast members, along with mandatory use of masks and increased cleaning procedures, are being implemented.

Guests will even be required to have apps on their mobile device with a Quick Response code proving they are not currently sick and will have to show the code to access the park, according to Fox13News.

For it's reopening, Shanghai Disneyland has instituted new procedures, including opening with limited attendance and required advanced ticketing and reservations, accommodating social distancing in queues, restaurants, ride vehicles and other facilities throughout the park, and implementing increased frequency of sanitization and disinfection.

Shanghai will be a metric for how and when parks will reopen in the states.

Though it's not clear when the amusement parks will resume in Florida and California, tickets are still available for future dates.
