Yes, we are already talking about the holidays. So grab your peppermint mocha and sit back and relax.

Maybe it's just me, but I start thinking about the holidays as soon as Halloween is over. There are so many people to shop for, and you want to make sure all of their presents are unique. That won't be a problem with all of the holiday markets we have in Ottawa.

If you're sick of spending every single weekend at the mall, shopping your life away in a crowded place, then you'll fall in love with these unique markets. The holidays should be fun and exciting, not stressful! You'll be able to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list at all of these places, and maybe even snag a few things for yourself (it's fine, I you deserve it). So grab a friend, make a date and head out to these 10 holiday markets and events that will be sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

1. 613Christmas

Presented by 613flea, 613Christmas is an event that sells one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans and makers. It's a free event that takes place at the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park on Saturday, November 12th from 10-5 pm.

2. The Little Market's Christmas Market

For the 3rd year in a row, The Little Market will be hosting a market that has items from local makers as well as home based businesses. All the proceeds go to a local family whose daughter has been diagnosed with Leukemia. This event takes place at the Constance and Buckham's Bay Community Centre in Constance Bay on Sunday, November 27th from 10-4 pm.

3. Cheerfully Made Holiday Market

Just a little bit outside of Ottawa in Almonte, Cheerfully Made will be hosting their 7th annual holiday market. The event goes on for 2 days, and there are 40+ different vendors each day! Admission is $2.00 and will be located at the Almonte Old Town Hall on November 5th and 6th from 10-4pm.

4. Christmas Gift Fair

This Christmas Gift fair will take place on Saturday, December 3rd from 9-2 pm. You'll be able to find a wide variety of gifts from well-known local vendors such as Stella & Dot, Mary Kay and Steeped Tea. All of these items will make for amazing holiday gifts as well as stocking stuffers!

5. 2016 OVCC Christmas Market

Taking place on December 10th to 11th at the Library and Archives Canada, this unique market will have an array of locally crafted gift items, fine art and artisan foods which will make for a great gift for any of your loved ones.

6. Signatures Show

Signature Show is a huge holiday shopping event in Ottawa, which hosts so many talented Canadian handmade pieces. You'll be able to find pieces from home decor to natural body care, and everything else in between. This premier event takes place from November 9th to 13th at the Shaw Centre.

7. The Museum's Christmas Market

Hosted by the Canadian Museum of History from December 1st to 4th, you'll be able to view more than 90 exhibitors showcase their handmade creations and amazing food options. Anything that you have on your list, you can find here from local vendors. This event is open on the Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on the Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

8. Carp Farmers' Market Christmas Market

If you're looking for baked goods and locally fresh produce for the holiday season, this is the place to be. From December 2nd to December 3rd, Carp Farmers' Market will host their Christmas Market at the Carp Agricultural Fairgrounds. You'll be able to donate food as well.

9. Chriskindl Market 

This yearly awaited German Christmas Market is closer than you think. It's hosted at the Maple Leaf – Almrausch Club which turns into a giant German Christmas Market and the first and second level of the club are filled with booths from locals and vendors outside of the city. But better yet, the lower level turns into a German restaurant to refuel after all that shopping. You'll really feel like you're in Germany at this market, which takes place November 18th to 20th.

10. Christmas Pottery Sale

If you're into giving unique presents for the holidays, then you'll love this Christmas Pottery Sale. There will be over 30 vendors there who display their work, and their pieces range from mugs to vases to plates. All the pieces are so beautiful and unique that you'll be able to find a gift for everyone on your list. This pottery sale takes place at the Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park from November 18th to 20th.
