When you think about Europe, you think about living your best life. The food, the experience, the views, everything about it is a dream. When you think about Ottawa, you don't really think the same.
Maybe you're too broke to travel, or maybe you're more of a homebody. Either way, there are so many places in Ottawa that will give you the same vibes. You can save money and feel like a tourist in your own city.
Quelque Chose Pâtisserie // 274 Montreal Rd
Quelque Chose Pâtisserie is an adorable macaron shop that gives such Paris vibes. Even better? The chef that makes the macarons went to culinary school in Paris so you're getting the real deal. Not fancy enough for you? They now have macaron ice cream sandwiches available.

You've definitely passed this restaurant multiple times in the ByWard Market, never checked it out or wondered what it is. This two-story pub is handcrafted to look like it was made in Ireland.
