You don't have to just stay home if you don't want to go to a club. Netflix and chill is so last year, and there is so much to do in the city that doesn't involve blaring music and annoying people. So here are 9 places to go out in Ottawa this weekend that aren't clubs.

Origin Trade // 111 York St

Just because it's Friday night doesn't mean it's not cool to be at a cafe. Origin Trade turns into a lounge-like cafe at night, and they serve beer and wine. It's the best place to go if you want a chill night, but still want to drink a little and have a good time!

The Loft // 14 Waller St

A board game lounge that serves alcohol and is open until 2 am? Yes please! The Loft is a great spot to go if you want a quiet night with your bae or BFFs but you just don't want to sit inside and watch movies all night.

Funhaven // 1050 Baxter Rd

Funhaven on a Friday night is lit. It's 19+ from 9 pm to 1 am and you can get the Friday Night Live package that includes either a pizza meal or one alcoholic beverage, 6 unlimited attractions, and a $6 FunCard for $34.99. Funhaven is a great way to bring out the kid in you with their indoor rollercoaster, arcade games and bumper cars.

Ciné-Parc Templeton Drive-In // 1779 Boulevard Maloney E

Seeing a drive-in movie always makes me feel like I'm in Grease. The movies are $12 per person, but you're in the comfort of your own car. Maybe you want to upgrade your movie watching and this is the way to do it!

House of TARG // 1077 Bank St

House of TARG has so many arcade games you'll feel like you're in heaven. They're open until 2 am, so you can stay out late and not be super hungover the next day. Instead, indulge in their unreal handmade perogies.

Merivale Bowling Centre // 1916 Merivale Rd

Who doesn't love bowling? You can get competitive while drinking and eating pizza, and spend time with your BFFs. Obviously Merivale Bowling Centre is the prime bowling spot in Ottawa and there is nothing like their glow in the dark bowling at night.

VIP Karaoke Bar // 610 Somerset St W

Karaoke is so much fun, and if you've never done it, what are you waiting for? You can jam out to old and new music, and music you completely forgot about. Also, don't worry about not being a great singer, that's the fun of it!

Cineplex Cinemas Lansdowne VIP // 325 Marché Way #107

The most bougie way to watch a movie, but we're so into it. You can get drunk while watching a new movie, so sign me up. This is a great alternative if you've over bars but still like to have fun while drinking. Treat yourself!

Level One Game Pub // 14 Waller St

Ever wanted to play video games while drinking and not be judged? Here you go! Level One is a pub below The Loft and you can play Mario Kart while getting your drink on. Or whatever your game of choice is, but that's for sure mine.
