The 175th Richmond Fair

Price: $10 general admission, packages available

Why You Need To Go: You can enjoy a wide variety of midway rides, tasty fair foods, live entertainment, and so much more! A long-standing tradition, this annual fall fair is one you won't want to miss. There's just so much on offer!

Orléans Oktoberfest

Price: $20

When: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Address: 4380 Innes Rd., Orléans

Why You Need To Go: You can enjoy a variety of locally brewed beers, tasty pretzels, German sausage, live entertainment, games, and prizes! Ticket price includes admission, your very own beer stein, and one Oktoberfest beer.

Taste of Wellington West

Price: Donations encouraged

When: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why You Need To Go: You can satisfy those tastebuds with the best of what Wellington and Hintonberg have to offer. Change donations are being excepted for Parkdale Food Centre as well, so you can stuff your face for a good cause. Food samples will be staggered throughout the day. Mammoth Used Book Sale

Why You Need To Go: You can browse through an enormous collection of books from lifestyle to fantasy and everything in between. Books are priced as low as $1 each and there is a selection of movies and vinyl available as well!

Football & Painting Party

Price: $25-$50

When: Saturday, Sept. 21 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Address: TD Place, 1015 Bank St.

Why You Need To Go: The Mud Oven is taking over the football field at The Log Cabin before Saturday's Ottawa Redblacks game to host an adorable painting party. Your ticket price covers supplies, a ceramic to take home, and admission to the game. You can choose between a mug or a football helmet piggy bank.

Repair Cafe

Price: Free

When: Saturday, Sept. 21

Why You Need To Go: If you've been holding on to some broken junk that you can't bring yourself to throw out, now's your chance to fix it up. From rewiring a kettle to stitching a hem, you can learn new skills and help the environment by not adding to the landfill. Coffee and snacks will also be available. There is a limit of one item per person.

Canada's Coolest Curds

Why You Need To Go: Who doesn't love cheese? With a variety of artisan cheeses made from cow, sheep, goat, water buffalo, and even vegan options, there is truly something for everyone. You can spend the day shopping, sampling cheese, learning new recipes, and meeting cheesemakers. The day will wrap up with an epic wine and cheese party where you'll have the chance to try vodka made from milk!

Knifeware Japanese Hot Dog Party

Why You Need To Go: You can enjoy make-your-own Japanese hot dogs and a variety of tasty craft sodas at Knifeware's customer appreciation event this weekend. If you love being in the kitchen, head inside to check out their incredible knives and kitchen accessories.

Scotch and Vinyl
