Enjoy cheap movies under the stars! 📽🚗

Retro drive-in movies are making a comeback. There is something super fun about enjoying a summer evening watching movies in your car. Do you want to experience going to a drive-in theatre with your BFF or date? If so, this drive-in theatre near Ottawa will be showing blockbuster movies all summer.

Port Elmsley Drive-In Theatre is in Perth, Ontario. Only 1 hour away from Ottawa, it makes for the perfect weekend road trip. This summer from Friday, June 28 until Sunday, September 1, they will be showing movies seven days a week.

This drive-in theatre has been screening movies under the stars since 1953. Unlike a regular movie theatre, you get way more space at a drive-in, and you can easily talk to those in the car with you without disturbing everyone else.

When going to the drive-in, make sure to bring pillows and blankets to get cozy. If you happen to have a truck, you can park backwards and fill the back with pillows and blankets to make a bed! Or you can bring lawn chairs and sit outdoors if you prefer.

One of the best things about Port Elmsley Drive-In Theatre is how cheap the movies are! General admission is $12 a person for two films. Or if you visit on Saturday and Sunday, you can watch three movies for just $12! It is an incredible deal, considering you will be watching new movies.

At Port Elmsley Drive-In Theatre they also have a snack bar so you can stock up on treats. They sell everything from ice cream, popcorn, and even hot food like poutine.

Each night the box office opens at 7:30 pm and the first movie starts at approximately 9:10 pm. On weekends it can get particularly busy, so it is best to arrive a bit early to ensure you get a good parking spot.
