Embassy of Switzerland Is Giving Out Free Cheese And Potatoes This Weekend In Ottawa

Did someone say free food?! Yes, yes I did.

This Saturday, January 28th 2017, Embassy of Switzerland in Canada is giving out free cheese and potatoes. This will take place at the annual Winter Celebration at Rideau Hall.

This festival also includes 13 other countries, and you'll get to enjoy free food and activities with your loved ones. If you're not familiar with what Raclette is, it's a traditional swiss cheese made from semi-firm cows milk. It's formed into a wheel, which is then cut and heated so you can scrape off the melted part. Raclette paired with potatoes is a famous swiss dish, and it's to die for.

Tell me that doesn't make you want to cancel all of your Saturday plans. Winter Celebration is a free event, however they accept donations to the Ottawa Food Bank, Moisson Outaouais or winter clothing for the Snowsuit Fund.

This event takes place from 12:30 - 4 pm, and it's definitely something you don't want to miss. Make Saturday your cheat day, and carb the hell up. The food given out by the Embassy of Switzerland will be served by the staff members, so you know it's the real deal.
