The days are slowly getting shorter, and before we know it, the leaves will be changing colour and Starbucks will be announcing the return of the pumpkin spice latte. That's right, fall is almost here, and Maple Hill Urban Farm has got you covered if you're looking for autumn fun and outdoor activities in Ottawa. From goat yoga to guided walks with llamas and alpacas, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and corn mazes, there is fun to be had for all.

The corn maze at Maple Hill Urban Farm is set to open on Labour Day weekend and will operate until early November, weather permitting.

In order to find your way out of the maze, you'll have to answer a series of questions, making it a unique experience, farm owner Don Trott tells Narcity.

"The maze makes a nice group outing," Trott explained. "We have 10 questions to find in the maze (and) the questions can be altered to fit the group. The questions are a bit like trivia, designed to teach a little something new. Most people spend 60 to 90 minutes in the maze without finding all the questions."

While the maze, which costs $10 per person or $30 per family to enter, only runs for a few months, the goat yoga and llama and alpaca walks are available all year long. However, the alpacas hate stiff winter winds and strong summer heat.

Goat yoga classes are available for private sessions of up to 13 people at a time. Access to the pumpkin patch is usually available, as well as the occasional hayride.

If you're interested in participating in any of the events you can call Maple Hill Urban Farm at 613-828-2987 for more information. Alternatively, you can email them at Prices for non-maze activities vary, so calling ahead of time is best, said Trott.

Visitors to the farm will also get to meet Trott’s adorable dog Benji and other farm animals including a potbelly pig, bunnies, and more.
