This magical village isn't just for kids.

Whether your night consists of holding hands with your bae or bringing your best friends along, you'll feel like you're in the ultimate Christmas movie this holiday season.

Alight at Night takes place at Upper Canada Village, which is about an hour drive from Ottawa. Noted as a 'true winter wonderland', you'll experience the holiday season like you never have before.

Every year Upper Canada Village turns into a winter wonderland and 2016 will mark Alight at Night's 16th year. If you haven't gone before, this is the year. You'll be able to enjoy carollers at the Christ Church, a sound and light show at Saint Nick's Merry Mansion, and have a meal at one of their delicious restaurants or grab a quick bite at a café.

You can also hop on a romantic pommier carriage ride for two, or ride the ferris wheel and take in the beauty of the village. If you feel in the mood to treat yourself, you can stop by the mouthwatering bakery and pick up a warm cinnamon bun to share. And if you're feeling like a true kid, you can ride the life size train around the village to view the lights up close or make your way through the Mistletoe Maze.

This festival starts on December 2nd, 2016 and goes until January 7th, 2017 however it is only open on the weekends.

Start the holiday season off right and make your way up to Upper Canada Village for the most unreal holiday experience. For more information click here and you can purchase your tickets here ahead of time so you don't miss out!

If 2016 was not your year like it wasn't for a lot of people, stop by Saint Nick's Merry Mansion and ask Santa for a wish. And obviously, get a picture for Instagram. Can't forget that!
